History: This car is Geoff Brabham's 1981 Championship Lola T-530 VDS. Also Driven by Al Holbert and Patrick Tambay in the 1982 Can Am season. It has been featured in Paul Newman's Movie "Circuit" and recently Featured on the Cover of "Vintage Motorsport", the Journal of Motor Racing History...... This VDS Can Am Car was the product of a year long program of testing, design, and construction by one of the most professional, highly organized, and best financed Racing Teams in the History of the Can Am; Team VDS... Racing Team VDS was the Property of Count Rudi Van der Straten, holder of the oldest Title in Europe and, not coincidentally, Brewer of the most popular Beer in Belgium. Racing Team VDS was able to assemble some of the Finest Talent available in the Racing Industry. The well known Designer/Aero-Dynamicst Tony Cicale was responsible for the Concept of Double-O-One and it's Aerodynamic Shape.
